If you’re an approved user at a bank that has an active subscription to Contexter, you can log into findCRA and view, print, download or export Contexter market reports anytime, for any county in the nation. This article provides a detailed walk-through of how to access and use the Contexter exporting feature on findCRA.
Step 1: Log in and open Contexter
NOTE: If you are logged in, you can open the Contexter home page anytime from the navigation menu by clicking the square grid icon in the upper right corner and then clicking the Contexter icon.
Step 2: From the Contexter home page, click the BUILD EXPORT button
Step 3: Select a county or county-equivalent using the geography search bar
Type all or part of the name of the county or county-equivalent you want to include in your export and click the appropriate one from the list of options. Note that many counties in different states share the same name, so be sure to click the correct option and use the scroll bar if necessary.
Step 4: Select Market Report years
Once you’ve selected a geography, use the check boxes in the next step to select the Market Report years you would like to export for that county or county-equivalent.
Step 5: Click the ADD button
Once you’ve selected a geography and at least one Market Report year, the ADD button will become available. Click the ADD button to add your selected Market Reports to your export. These reports will then appear in the “Market Reports Selected” box on the right side of the page.
Remember: while you can build unlimited exports, you can only add up to forty Market Reports in a single export. To export additional Market Reports (beyond forty reports), you’ll need to build a separate export.
NOTE: Once you click the ADD button, the geography and year selections you’ve made will disappear and return to their default setting.
Step 6: Click the EXPORT DATA button
Once you’ve added at least one Market Report to your export, the EXPORT DATA button will become available. To generate a CSV export for the Market Reports you’ve selected (i.e. added), click the blue EXPORT DATA button and save your export file however you choose.
Removing selected Market Reports
You can remove Market Reports from the “Market Reports Selected” box either individually or all at once. To remove an individual report, click the white “X” icon inside the blue oval of an individual report. To remove all Market Reports that have been added to the “Market Reports Selected” box, click the CLEAR ALL button at the bottom of the “Market Reports Selected” box.
NOTE: Once you click the EXPORT DATA button to generate an export, the Market Reports you’ve selected for that export will remain in the selection box.
