    If you’re an approved user at a bank that has an active subscription to Contexter, you can log into findCRA and view or download public school data for any county in the nation. This article provides a detailed walk-through of how to access and export Contexter school data anytime, as well as an overview of the school data available.

    Step 1: Log in and open Contexter

    NOTE: If you are logged in, you can open the Contexter home page anytime from the navigation menu by clicking the square grid icon in the upper right corner and then clicking the Contexter icon.

    Step 2: Select a Contexter market report to view

    You can select a market report using either the search bar or your list of saved reports.

    Step 3: Go to the “Free and Reduced Lunch Eligibility” section of the market report

    The “Free and Reduced Lunch Eligibility” section can be found by scrolling down to the “Education” section of the market report. You can also click the Education tab at the top of the report to scroll there even faster.

    Step 4: Click the VIEW button

    The VIEW button is located next to the “Total Public Schools” box label.

    Step 5: Browse or export public school data

    Once you click the VIEW button, a window will open up containing the public school data for that county. You can browse the data by scrolling within that window or you can export the data to a .CSV file by clicking the export button in the top right corner of the window.

    School Data Available

    From each Contexter market report, you can access a complete list of the public schools within the county you are viewing. The list will appear within a window which you can use to browse the data or export the data to a .CSV file. Note that when you print or export the market report itself, the list of public schools will not appear within those files.

    For each public school, the following data points are available:

    • District Name
    • School Name
    • City
    • State
    • Total Students
    • Number of Free and Reduced Lunch Eligible Students
    • Percent of Students that are Free and Reduced Lunch Eligible
